 Meet  Makeda Passley

Makeda Passley is a Clinical Neurophysiologist, Pediatric 

Neuroscientist, Nutritionist, Health Educator, and Advocate who is passionate about Preventive Medicine, Plant-Based Nutrition, Childhood Obesity, Autism, and Global Public Health. She is Highly Passionate About Service, Leadership, Research, and Teaching. Her primary goal is to continue to dedicate her work to the Treatment, Therapies, and Research of Children, Adolescents, and Teens with Neurological and Neurodevelopmental Disorders (in particular 

Autism), while incorporating Plant-Based Nutrition and Pharmaceuticals, Nutraceuticals, Fitness, Neuropharmacology, and Heath Education into their Treatment Plans. She plans on continuing to Combat the Global Health Crisis of Malnutrition, Disease (primarily Brain and Mental Disorders) and Obesity in developing countries and urban areas, while reducing Health, Fitness, and Nutrition disparities amongst minority populations.

Makeda's keen interest in Plant-Based Vegan Nutrition has been heavily influenced by her Parents' Strong Passion for Vegan and 'Ital' Foods, which she was introduced to when she was just a baby. She credits her Vegan lifestyle to her Mother in particular, for consuming a Plant-Based Vegan Diet, consisting of mostly fruits and vegetables while she was pregnant with her, which she continued feeding to Makeda for several years after birth Makeda began transitioning back into a Plant-Based Diet after leaving home for college at the age of 21.

Makeda graduated from Howard University in Washington, D.C. with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Biology. She also graduated from the University of Sheffield in Sheffield, United Kingdom with a Master of Science in Clinical and Pediatric Neurology. Her continuous plan is to educate her patients on the important role of Nutrition and Herbal Medicine in the Prevention of disease and in promoting optimal health. Her ultimate goal is to integrate Nutritional Therapies into their overall treatment plans. She also believes in helping to reduce health disparities and champion for the rights of people with Autism and from underserved and minority populations.
